Military Intelligence of the Slovak republic expresses its gratitude to our foreign partner intelligence services for their cooperation in the successful execution of Operation MASQUERADE. In this regard, we also appreciate the participation and irreplaceable cooperation of the Slovak Information Service.

The aim of Operation "Masquerade" was to target the global infrastructure of compromised network devices exploited by the malicious actor APT 28 to carry out cyber attacks, with some of these devices also located in the cyberspace of the Slovak Republic.

The invitation of Military Intelligence to the Operation MASQUERADE by our allies, as well as the subsequent active participation of Military Intelligence in the preparation and successful achievement of the objectives of the Operation MASQUERADE, is a confirmation not only of the high-quality cyber capabilities of the Military Intelligence and recognition of the highly professional capabilities of the members of the Cyber Defense Center of the Slovak Republic, but also a manifestation of the trust from our foreign partners.

The successful participation of Military Intelligence and the Slovak Information Service in Operation MASQUERADE not only contributed significantly to strengthening the security of the national cyberspace, but above all confirms the position of the Slovak Republic as a responsible and reliable ally that actively contributes to the fulfillment of collective defence obligations.
