Military Intelligence
Ministry of Defence of the Slovak Republic

Trust is earned through professionalism

The NATO Counter Intelligence Center of Excellence (NATO CI COE), based in Krakow, has been an example of close Polish-Slovak cooperation since its establishment in 2016. The Military Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of the Slovak Republic, as the co-founder of the Center, plays a key role in its direction, which was symbolically confirmed in 2019 by the appointment of the first Slovak director of the Center. It is not different today, since Colonel Michal Forgách took over the leadership of the Center as the director as of the fall 2025.

The quality of international relations, correct and constructive communication and high professionalism of the Center's members contribute to the deepening of mutual cooperation within the Alliance as well as to the progress of the Center. This was also confirmed during visit of the director of the NATO CI COE to the United States (December 2025), and also this January, when the director of the NATO Security Office, Galen J. Nace, visited the NATO CI COE and appreciated not only the high-quality work in the field of counterintelligence, but also the friendliness and hospitality of the Center's staff.
