The Military Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of the Slovak Republic honored the first ever Military Intelligence Day. Starting this year, it will be observed on October 25. It was on October 25, 1919, that the 2nd Intelligence Department began its activities in the structures of the Regional Military Commands, which managed intelligence activities in Slovakia including offensive and defensive areas. That day marked the beginning of an organization, from which the Military Intelligence was formed - an institution that takes pride in its professionalism, expertise and prestige.

The Military Intelligence Day will thus annually commemorate the irreplaceable role of the Military Intelligence in the defense system of the state. The significance of this day is emphasized by the fact that it is included in the Military Calendar.
